The Monitoring of Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE), By The Board Chairman, Prof. Modupe Adelabu.

In continuation of Senior School Certificate examinations (SSCE) monitoring exercise as part of my oversight function, we visited two schools within Ibadan City. The schools visited were Loyola College Ibadan and the Tim-Carol group of schools. In both schools, I was received by the school officials and the State Coordinator for the National Examinations Council (NECO), Oyo State. The examination had already started in both schools when I arrived there, and I was impressed with the well spaced sitting arrangement and the conducive environnement of the schools. The students were well supervised. In one of the schools visited, the Tim-Carol group of schools, the principal, Mr. Alamu, commended the National Examinations Council (NECO), the supervisors, and the NECO officials for being punctual when bringing the exam materials, compared to other examinations bodies. It was an improvement on the early identified issues I observed during my last monitoring exercise. The pictures taken during the exercise are hereby attached .
